Marshfield Motor Speedway Under New Management

One of Wisconsin's most exciting race tracks is going to have a new look for the 2009 race season. Marshfield Motor Speedway has brought on board Wayne Brevik to manage and promote the legendary 1/2 mile paved oval. Brevik, a Fairchild, WI resident, will be replacing Mary Langreck. Brevik states, "filling Mary's shoes will be a tough task, she's worked very hard at making Marshfield Motor Speedway one of Wisconsin's finest." Brevik, a NCAA Basketball Official, and Co-Owner of Redline Speedsports, says that it is his intention to give the track a new image with the implementation of new ideas in marketing the track.

Marshfield Motor Speedway will begin its season with the ever popular "Eve of Devastation" on April 25th. The season opener for Super Late Models, Super Stocks, 4 Cylinders, Pure Stocks, and Junkyard Warriors, will be May 2nd. Also joining the racing action throughout the season will be the Motorcycles and Oldtimers. For more information, you may contact Wayne Brevik at: 715-533-0796 or email, gusbe46@yahoo.com

Marshfield Motor Speedway is a half-mile asphalt oval constructed by Jim Langreck. Located in Marshfield, WI, the land the track sits on was originally purchased by Mr. Langreck in 1972. After five years of work he opened the track as a half-mile clay oval in 1977. Over the years the track emerged from humble beginnings with the addition of additional seating and parking, a food service building, a sit down eating area for families and the tracks own generator system for power.
